A ride through the seasons.

How do we experience personal growth within a community or a collective?
What aspects of community building could be benificial for artistic collectives?
How do we experience belonging? And how does that experience translate into the way we manage,
repair and sustain our connections?
What can the community teach the collective?
A reading group centered around a selection of texts that relate to different aspects of community.
Through conversation we will try to discover in what manner these topics can be valuable to
collectives and how we can translate the know-how of community building into the world of artistic
collectives.

Pintjespolitiek, an interactive installation that puts the artist to work and
references a culture of friends-politics in the artworld and networking
between artists often done at café’s and bars. The artist wears an Art is Work
uniform from Apparatus 22 collective. The uniform made by the collective
functions as a way to bring attention to the often unrecognized hours worked
by artists and curators.

PaulHaus is a long-term, socially active and interchanging project taking
place within a converted cargobike. Being able to transport itself, the artist
and artworks or materials, the bike also tranforms into a bar, a theatre, a tent
and a table.
The project focuses on the possibilities the public space offers artists and
looks for alternatives to artist studios and art spaces. It´s a search for a
feeling of home, community and being an artist that goes beyond the walls
of an atelier or an exhibition space.
